Meower API

About

The Meower API is the official API used by Meower to get posts, user info, IP addresses, group chats, report queues for moderators, inbox messages and more.

Relation to IP blocking issue

A known issue with Meower before the Meower API was created was ad blockers, mainly uBlock origin, blocking the IP address lookup service used at the time, causing Meower Clients to falsely state that user's IP addresses were blocked.

The Meower API contains it's own IP address lookup powered by Cloudflare to help combat this issue.
